Please be reminded that Sequoyah will have a normal school day on Thursday, Oct. 19th. There is no school on Friday, Oct. 20th. We are dismissed for Fall Break.

The book fair has been a smashing success so far! We will be open until Friday at noon. The book fair will also be open during parent conferences on Tuesday and Thursday night. We have added some new stock! Come in to the library and see us!
Sequoyah is excited about our upcoming week of Grandparents/Grand-friends lunches! We will be operating on an altered lunch schedule this week. Due the increased number of guests expected for lunch each day this week, we are asking that parents not come eat with their children this week unless it is their child's scheduled "Grandparent's Day". We can't wait to meet all of our special guests!
T-shirt order forms are due tomorrow! All students are required to have one for field trips. If you need financial assistance please select the box on the order form.

Parents-please send a refillable water bottle, or a bottle of water, to school with your student each day. We want all of our students to stay well hydrated during this season of hot weather.
Don't forget to come meet our new principal, Mrs. Holly King, tonight! We will be hosting our drive through event, "Popsicles with Your Principal", from 5:30-6:30 pm this evening. Please drive through using our car rider lane.
Kindergarten camp is Aug. 2nd & 3rd from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm. Kindergarteners with last names that begin with A-L will attend on Wed., Aug. 2nd. Kindergarten Parents: Kindergarten camp is just around the corner, and we can't wait to meet all of our incoming kindergarteners! Camp is Wed., Aug 2nd-Thur., Aug. 3rd from 8:00 am-12 pm. Breakfast and Lunch will be provided. Kindergarten camp is an excellent way to make the transition into elementary school fun and exciting. We will "sea" you soon at our Oceans of Fun Kindergarten Camp!

If you have an incoming kindergartner, or know someone who has a kindergartner coming to Sequoyah, you don't want to miss out on this wonderful opportunity! End of the Year Awards are Wed., May 24th. Kindergarten and 1st grade are at 8:30 am followed by 2nd and 3rd grade at 9:45 am. 4th grade awards are at 1:00 pm.
Field Day is tomorrow! If you are a volunteer, we ask that you report to your station 5-10 minutes before your assigned time. It is going to be a great day! Please take note of our field day reminders!
Third grade students have been working on a research project about an important individual. Students have created a presentation and will be presenting their projects tomorrow in the cafeteria. You will see famous musicians, athletes, scientists, presidents, and more! You may even meet someone you have never heard of! We would like to invite you to visit our third grade students in the Sequoyah cafeteria and hear their research from 1:30-2:15. This is a come and go event.
Kindergarten registration is Monday! Please note the additional information needed for registration. A birth certificate will also be required for registration. We look forward to meeting all of our new K kiddos!
